· 9.  SOLICITOR REPORT

·          Authorization of an advertisement which pertains to land parcels known as Cambria County Map numbers 57-010.-618.000 and 57-010.-617.000 also known as Control Number 057-074519 and 057-074518 from R2 to Commercial. This advertisement is for a public hearing, and amendment of a zoning ordinance. Additionally this authorization includes permission for posting of property, and notice to surrounding property owners.

The undersigned and authorized representatives of Stonycreek Township hereby certify that at a meeting held on the 8th day of March 2022 after due notice, at which a quorum was present, Stonycreek adopted the following Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE BE AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED as follows:

Douglas Sedlemeyer, President and Paul D. Simmons, Vice President of Stonycreek Township are hereby authorized to execute the signing of the Second Amendment to the consent Order and Agreement from the Department Of Environmental Projection and to forward the signed Second Amendment to the September 9, 2014 Consent Order and Agreement to the Department of Environmental Projection in a timely manner

It is certified that the above Resolution is in full force in effect as of this 8th day of March 2022

RESOLUTION 2022-3.

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIp OF STONYCREEK CAMBRIA COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, authorizing officials of stonycreek to execute all documents and agreements between Stonycreek Township, the commonwealth financing authority.

 

 

WHEREAS, the TOWNSHIP OF STONYCREEK, CAMBRIA COUNTY (hereafter “STONYCREEK”), wishes to apply for a Statewide Local Share Assessment Grant in which part of said process is to pass a Resolution authorizing officials from Stonycreek to execute documents and agreements related to said grant; and

 

Be it RESOLVED, that the Township of Stonycreek of Cambria County hereby request a Statewide Local Share Assessment grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority in accordance with the following table:

Correspondence from the Cambria County Conservation District regarding the permit issued to Dollar General for stormwater associated with the construction activatesCorrespondence from Christopher Kriley, Clean Water Program DEP providing notice of five sewer taps for 2022

·          Correspondence to the Cambria County Conservation District providing notice of support and use of the storage yard during the Keep Pa Beautiful appliance and tire collection event on Saturday, May 7, 2022

·          A copy of correspondence from Nick Bailey Cambria Somerset Council of Governments on a property maintenance violation at 1215 Florida Avenue

·          Correspondence from Ameriserv regarding 12b-1 fee rebates for the Non uniformed and Uniformed pension plans

13      UNFINISHED BUSINESS, READY FOR ACTION

·          Consideration to utilize American Recovery Fund monies for replacing lost revenue

                    

·          Authorization to accept the telephone bid from Locher Demolition to demolish utilizing General Fund monies.  A lien will be placed on each property for all costs associated with the demolition

o    755 Russel Avenue -    $7,750.00

o    1903 Florida Avenue - $8,850.

                 

 

14.     NEW BUSINESS:

·          Consideration to appoint Michalene Singer as Deputy Tax Collector

  ·          Authorization for the Township Administrator to open a non-interest checking account at 1st Summit for depositing federal monies.  By motion

·          Spring Clean-up is Monday, May 16 and Tuesday May 17, 2022. There will not be an electronic recycling dumpster this year due to rising costs

·          The White Good and Tire recycling event will be Saturday May 7, 2022.  Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful sponsors this event.

·          The Drug Take Back Event is April 30, 2022
